As human beings we want the best for us therefore we always imagine ourself's living in a Utopia. Of course everybody wants to live in the perfect world. However we never think of how much easier it is to live in a dystopia rather than a Utopia. I believe that we do not live in a Utopia but neither do we live in a dystopia, we have an average life style.
In this class we read many books with one being Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. After reading this book i came to understand how lucky we are to even have free water. Have we ever imagine how would this world be if we had to pay for water specially in our economic status? It would be horrible! Yet instead of taking care of what little we do have, we take advantage of it and let the water run all the time. When washing hands we leave the water running, washing dishes, washing cars, washing our teeth.
How would it be in 50 years from now? I believe that everything will change either to better or worst. It is up to us- the people who will make a difference. So if we have in our hands what is needed to make our world better why not do it. Lets all do something to make our world better like not leave the water running. If every single one of us changes at least one thing it will make our environment 1000 times better.
